Modular Workload Format: Extending SWF for Modular Systems

نویسندگان

چکیده

This paper presents the Modular Workload Format (MWF), a proposal for extending widely accepted Standard (SWF) job scheduling evaluation. David Talby and Dror Feitelson proposed SWF in 1999, allowing to describe data center workload synthesized way. Its simplicity, representing each by single line text file including details make evaluation quite accurate, was part of its success. Using these years’ experience but considering new system characteristics, we propose an extension support multiple steps job, heterogeneous jobs, relevant inputs not covered as energy/power references. The goal this contribution is adapt current trends architectures workloads. Moreover, simple approach converting any already existing trace into MWF be able reuse traces.

An Exchange Format for Modular Knowledge

We present a knowledge exchange format that is designed to support the exchange of modularly structured information in mathematical and logical systems. This format allows to encode mathematical knowledge in a logic-neutral representation format that can represent the meta-theoretic foundations of the systems together with the knowledge itself and to interlink the foundations at the meta-logica...

A Proposed Model for Evaluating Modular Education

Introduction: Educational evaluation is one of the main elements of educational systems. It also has a particular role in different educational standards such as ISO 10015. It seems that oral and written examinations are not enough for an effective evaluation of instructions. In order to accomplish an efficient educational evaluation, an evaluation model was designed for educational assessment ...

An Improved Modular Modeling for Analysis of Closed-Cycle Absorption Cooling Systems

A detailed modular modeling of an absorbent cooling system is presented in this paper. The model including the key components is described in terms of design parameters, inputs, control variables, and outputs. The model is used to simulate the operating conditions for estimating the behavior of individual components and system performance, and to conduct a sensitivity analysis based on the give...

Clause-Learning for Modular Systems

We present an algorithm, CDCL-AMS, for solving Modular Systems consisting of a set of modules where, for each module, we have a simple “black-box” solver. The algorithm is based on the ConflictDirected Clause Learning algorithm for SAT, and communicates asynchronously with the black-box solvers to accommodate high variability in response latencies.

Supported Semantics for Modular Systems

Modular systems offer a language-independent declarative framework in which modules from different languages are combined to describe a conceptually and/or computationally complex problem. The original semantics developed to combine modules in a modular system is a model-theoretical semantics with close ties to relational algebraic operations. In this paper, we introduce a new semantics for mod...
